Let's Understand Autism Together !!!
Alanya University hosted a meaningful event as part of the April 2nd World Autism Awareness Day. The seminar, organized in collaboration with the Nursing Department, the Disabled Student Unit, and the Patika Community, was held in the Lecturer Şebnem Köseoğlu Conference Hall at the Central Campus. Titled "Let's Understand Autism Together," the seminar addressed autism spectrum disorder from both scientific and social perspectives.
During the event, Dr. Pelin UYMAZ, a faculty member from the Alanya University Nursing Department, delivered a comprehensive presentation to the participants. The presentation covered a wide range of topics, from the neurobiological foundations of autism to the processes of individuals' participation in social life.
The seminar also highlighted the social challenges faced by individuals with autism and emphasized the responsibilities that society can undertake in this process.
