The undergraduate program of the Department of Nursing is in the form of regular formal education, and the academic year consists of two semesters, fall and spring. Each semester consists of 15 weeks, and an integrated education program is applied. The integrated education program is prepared within the framework of human, health/disease, environment, and nursing metaparadigms, and the subjects are from simple to complex, from health to disease, from society to individual, from birth to death, according to age periods.
Nursing covers the care aimed at protecting, developing, and healing the health and well-being of individuals, families, groups, and societies of all ages in all environments. It provides the necessary care and practices in health/disease situations experienced by people throughout their lives, and getting to know them. Our students who complete the four-year undergraduate education in nursing education will graduate with the title of “Nurse” and will be both our colleagues and a part of the existing health team. Now, with the diplomas they have, they can work in all institutions and organizations that provide preventive, therapeutic, and rehabilitative health services, as well as work independently.
