Strengthening Together Nursing Week Activities
The events organized by our department as part of Nursing Week were successfully completed. Under the slogan "We Strengthen Together, We Create Together," students came together in activities that contributed to both their social and professional development.
On the first day of the events, the "Well-being and Solidarity Gathering" provided students with a short break from their intense academic schedule with a picnic on the beach, team games, and conversations. A mindfulness circle was held at sunset, where students shared their thoughts on solidarity and well-being together.
In the "ICN Theme Interpretation Workshop," students interpreted the ICN 2026 theme from their own perspectives. Through small group work, slogans, posters, and creative presentations were prepared, and ideas were exchanged regarding the future of the nursing profession. At the end of the workshop, an awareness board was created through the students' collaborative work.
In the "Nursing Concepts Garden Game" activity, designed to address nursing concepts in a fun and interactive way, students experienced learning processes through concept matching, role-playing, scenario solving, and team games. The event aimed to support students' communication, teamwork, and quick decision-making skills.
The events, coordinated by the Head of the Nursing Department, Sevgi Kızılcı Öz, Dr. Pelin Uymaz, Dr. N. Özge Çalışkan Cellatoğlu, and Research Assistant Aslı Firdevs Hakan, strengthened students' professional belonging while also increasing social solidarity.
